Events and Performances

Lower School
In order to maintain a fun and stress free environment for our little ones, we hold all performance for Tots in Motion, Creative Movement, and Pre Ballet in the studio for invited family and friends. Refreshments follow and the mood is festive.

Students at this level can also expect to receive visits from dancers in the Upper School during our "Big Sister" Events.

And the young aspiring dancers in the Lower School always receive free tickets to MetroWest Ballet stage productions.

Elementary Levels and the Upper School

Recognizing that performance is a component of dance education, MetroWest Ballet holds two major performances and two lecture demonstrations each year including The Nutcracker and a Spring Concert at the end of the school year. Students in Elementary 1 through the Upper School have the opportunity to participate in these events.

Students in Elementary 1 thru 4 will have one additional opportunity to be recognized for their hard work. During the last week of classes in May, parents will be invited into the studio to watch the students demonstrate the ballet vocabulary and technique they have worked to achieve throughout the year. A Recognition Awards Ceremony will follow. At the ceremony, each student will receive a certificate commemorating their efforts and achievements.

Please Note: Teaching technique is a priority. Therefore, students opting to perform in The Nutcracker must agree to rehearse outside of class time as not to interfere with the class curriculum, and the Spring Concert is a demonstration of the elements of training rather than a showcase of elaborate costumes and choreography.
